Giant Pom Pom is constructed out of donated materials by friends of the artist, gained through the use of a facebook event. It’s a symbolic work that both literally and figuratively draws people who were previously strangers together through the vortex shape of the pom pom. The process of pom pom making is very repetitive and labour-heavy, requiring many hours of commitment to the project.
